Chain Repair
We all have a chain that has broken: either from being worn day-in and day-out, being pulled on by a mischievous puppy, having an infant with the strength of Arnold Schwarzenegger claim your chain as theirs, or mysterious circumstances have occurred in where you find your chain in a dark corner of your abode.
That is where we come in! We can repair your chain when available or give you options for replacement when that is the best or only possibility. During your repair consultation we will evaluate your chain style, age of chain, how often it is worn, what pendant you wear on it, and how it possibly broke.
Chain Style: Many chain/link patterns are able to be repaired without notice. Certain chain styles, like a rope chain, often show where repair work is completed due to the small interlocking wires.
Age of Chain | How Often Chain is Worn: Sometimes a chain breaks in one place, but is susceptible for the same occurrence in others. If that is the case, we may advise you to get a new chain to avoid future damage and relative costs associated with continued repair.
Pendant Worn: The weight of certain pendants can be too much for thin or delicate chains, which could be a potential reason why it broke or is expediting a chains life. We can suggest a different chain or pendant style that would better suite each-other.
*As always, we will give you an estimate to repair and any recommendations before any repair work is completed. We do not repair or restore unless a specific option and price are approved by you.
Bracelet Length Adjustment
The standard length for bracelets is 7″, however we all have different size wrists and preferences on how tight or loose we wish our bracelets to fit. Most bracelets we sell at Summerwind can be made in nearly any length preferred with the link pattern in mind.
If you already have a bracelet you would like adjusted our expert jeweler and sales team will be more than happy to evaluate the options and let you select the option that is best for you.
To shorten a bracelet: wrist size and preferred length will be measured, link type and pattern will be taken into consideration when reaching an exact length, a price will be given after assessment and before any work has started.
To lengthen a bracelet: it is slightly more challenging to lengthen a bracelet while creating a seamless transition. Depending on the style of bracelet we will suggest different approaches and methods to get your desired aesthetic. The options could include: add chain, create matching links, insert gemstone stations to change pattern and create extra length, and add an extender. Price and options for your exact piece and requests will be given after assessment and before work has started.

Covid-19 Update
We’re back! We are ecstatic to announce our door is officially open.
Store Hours:
Monday- Saturday 10 am-5:30 pm
Shopping with us looks slightly different as we are following the new recommendations and regulation set forth.
1) Limiting the number of parties in the store at a given time
2) Requiring all customers to wear masks and sanitize their hands upon arrival
3) Respect and maintain social distancing with sales professionals and other clients
We suggest scheduling appointments in advance when possible as this will allow us to maintain a comfortable flow within the store.
In addition to our regular sanitation procedures we have implemented expanded steps for the health and safety of staff and clients.
1) All jewelry is being sanitized after being tried-on or physically touched. We can also sanitize jewelry in advance if you prefer. We have always sanitized earrings before going back in our showcase- but have now expanded that procedure to include all jewelry.
2) We are able to assist with clasps and closures if requested by the client. We will respect social distancing at all other times.
3) We are wearing masks exclusively in the presence of clients + sanitizing our hands upon arrival.
4) We are sanitizing the store in-between clients/ as often as possible.
Although we have added some new procedures- you can still shop with us like “normal”. Feel free to try on as many of our gorgeous jewels as you would like and know that you are safe and protected to the best of our ability.
We’re happy to ship completed repairs and custom orders as we are able to accept payment via Venmo, PayPal, or over the phone.
You can also continue to shop with us by following along on our social media! We’ll be posting sale items daily, as well as your regular daily dose of sparkle. Posted items can be reserved for purchase by simply messaging us, and we will work out payment details from there.
